Use Gmail to Remote Control your PC

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

This one made me a little nervous to be honest, inserting my gmail account and not knowing where my account details are going seemed a little risky.  It did seem to work though, although I had some issues with my Windows XP machine, in particular installing (worked perfectly on other machines).

Basically it works by sending commands through your gmail account to do specific tasks such as shut down or run a command you ask it to.  Pretty simple.

I tried this on a non important gmail account (I would recommend that you do this as well), and it seems to work as promised.  I’ll leave it up to you whether or not this finds its way into your software arsenal.

I think there have been so many cases recently of SEO guys’ gmail accounts being hacked and their domains stolen is unbelievable, that it shows Gmail just isn’t up to scratch with security. My advice is if you are going to use Gmail for secure email, *always* check the filters, to ensure your account hasnt been hacked and emails from specific companies, ie. domain registrars, aren’t being filtered to a hackers email so they can steal your domain.

Got something to say?
