Ever need to create an icon? IcoFx lets you extract icons from just about anything (EXE, JPEG, or DLL) edit and re-save. It also auto generates all the sizes you need for every occasion screen depth or Windows version. On top of that the program comes with a full suite of tools and effects that you would usually expect in a Retail paint program only crammed into an icon editing tool.
Best of all its free and works under the latest greatest Vista version.

Thanks for this! I’ve been looking for a free icon tool since I switched from Mac to Windows!
It sure is the best free icon editor, but the best is not free and there is a big difference -> check out what you can do RealWorld Icon Editor http://www.rw-designer.com/how-to
I’m going to have a look into this, might be useful for creating buttons for websites. Cheers NoHeat!
Nice one, this’ll do for my new directory. Cheers
