When I got divorced I remember watching my lawyer pull up someone else’s past divorce, edit the names and social security numbers, and press print. I sat there in disbelief as I wondered why I was paying hundreds of dollars for a copy paste job that just about anyone could do. This is the idea behind docstoc, you see there are many things that have been done so many times that you could pretty much fill out a form and be done with it. This isn’t to say you don’t need a professional to do some things but you could quite capably use a document someone has already used in a pinch when you need to. You’ll find documents like Wills, lease - rental agreements, business plans, financial projections, budgets, promissory note, and even a cohabitation agreement (wish I would have downloaded that agreement instead of the marriage one lol). At the very least docstoc makes for a nice starting point for the document you need, and with their robust user community you are not in the dark.
