Firefox’s built in spellcheck is great however its not perfect.  For some reason the powers at be decided that you get to be an ace speller in some places and in others not so much but with a simple hack to your about:config you can have your spell checker in small text fields as well as big ones.  Firefox incorporato nel controllo ortografico è grande però non è perfetto. Now one thing I have noticed is that fields that are auto-filled by Google Toolbar or another auto-fill tool will not be spell checked.  Also some special forms for search do not work. Ora una cosa ho notato è che i campi che sono automaticamente riempiti da Google Toolbar o di un altro strumento automatico di riempimento non saranno controllati ortografico. Anche alcune forme speciali per la ricerca non funzionano.

    Does this tweak increase the memory consumption ? Ciò modificare aumentare il consumo di memoria?

    I guess spell check is not available for all fields by default because the developers don’t really see a need for it. Most of the things that need spell checking are those that appear in text-areas in web pages (e.g. those that need a lot of typing).
