So lets say that you start a blog, but one day loose interest. Your interest comes back but when you come to visit your abandoned site you find that the spammers and link litterers have taken over your once clean posts. What do you do when you have 2932 spam comments to remove? I suppose you could just delete your Wordpress installation and start over but there is an easier way. You could commit suicide, yep you heard that right there is a plug-in for Wordpress called “Commit Suicide” that can remove posts, comments, links, users, and custom fields from your Wordpress installing. Install the plugin and you can just start over without all that spam.

Alternatively, you can always delete the database tables manually via phpMyadmin or some other MySQL manager.

I think it’s not good idea to kill tables, because you can mistake in tables communications

I don’ see the point of this plugin, just drop the database and you will get the same result :p

This is just an easier way for novices to remove spam comments from their entire blog if they’ve let it languish. Many bloggers have installed Wordpress via Cpanel and really have no idea of the inner working of their blog. This gives them a easy out, suicide.

wiseassoffice, I think that ?ore simple way is using Akismet plugin, which included in wp installation pack

Don’t get me wrong I am not advocating not using some kind of spam filter but even Akismet will let a few spam comments in, and over time it could be rather cumbersome to remove a bunch of spam.

Got something to say?
