See where News is made
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Okay I can totally see this website better working as a screensaver as its a little hard to get news one line at a time and one place at a time. However the integration is pretty cool. Actually I would like to see a reverse version of this site, meaning you click on a spot on the map and get news for that region, or the type of news based on region. So say I am interested in Tech News and Internet close to Michigan I can see news based on region. This website is works because you get a visual idea of where things are happening in the world. So many people watch the news but if you were to ask them where in the world news takes place they couldn’t show you on the map where it takes place. We’re looking at you Sarah Palin.
Unknown Devices get Known
How many times have I procrastinated installing some new hardware only to find it later and have no idea where I put the drivers for that generic webcam much less who manufactured it. Windows is no help with its hillbilly addressing for devices. Its like asking “who is this person” and getting the reply “a person”. Unknown Devices, the software not the problem plows deeper into the devices hardware to find out more about this new fangled device you are attaching. Getting useful information such as manufacturer and chip details that can help you find out where to get the drivers so your handy dandy device you just attached can be used.
ColorCop a simple eyedropper tool that goes anywhere

Its pretty inevitable you will need to pick up a color from somewhere at sometime. ColorCop allows you pick up the color information from just about anything that shows up on your screen. Values are either RGB or HTML colors, and automatically get copied to your clipboard. Also if you need to capture a bunch of colors all at once it saves the last 7 in your history so you can retreive later. Its super fast and can be loaded to a flash drive in a pinch to pick up colors from the desktop of where-ever you happen to be.
