Sorting through the chaos of Google Buzz
Using Google Buzz with any number of followers right now is an exorcise in patients and processing power. But there are ways to cut down the madness. One of nice features of Google Buzz is that it includes a way to import your twitter feeds and Google Reader feeds that you share. Sharing more makes for a more content on a the network, however if you follow a couple thousand people your feed looks like the whole internet is passing you by and to comment you have to be willing to run to catch up. By the time you get to comment your comment text is off screen.

Google Developing a Gaming Console?
I heard an interesting hardware rumor today. Google may be exploring the gaming console market. Using Google Chrome as the basis for a gaming console and using a store much like the Android marketplace. Google’s goal is to get their brand in front of younger viewers, and gain access to HDTV advertising channels.

iPad a perfect tool for a perfect world that doesn’t exist
I will start out this post with this caveat, I love Apple. I have a iPhone and a 17 inch Mac Book Pro and there’s a Dual processor G5 sitting on my desk at work. I have tons of iPods laying around, and even contemplated working for Apple once.

As the resident computer guy for the entire family, neighborhood, state of Michigan (ect) I have the need to reinstall Windows and reload all manners of crap laptops, PCs, and anything unfortunate enough to be blessed with Windows. So since I do the Windows reinstall boogey so often I might as well put some of my favorite software on these machines. Usually this is a manual process or at best a USB drive away from getting all the programs installed. The ninite installer makes a blind installer that can help ease the process. All you do is select which installers to install, click create installer and away you go. The ninite installer makes one single installer you double click and it blindly installs. Everything from Firefox to Microsoft Essentials is in there. By installing some of these programs you will insure the PC will come back to you later and the user will be happy with their new toys.
