Google adsense is a simple way to monetize your blog or webpage but many people don’t know that if Google cannot find an ad match for your website AdSense will instead choose to show a “public service ad”. The problem with this is if Google displays such an ad you make nothing.

Google’s Adsense to try CPA and webmaster chosen content
Google Adsense is testing a new program that allows you to choose with kind of ads you display on your website instead of allowing the text on your site dictating what ads are shown. This program is new to Google in a couple of ways, it allows you to choose ads and it pays out when the user completes an action, such as buy a item or register. This is new territory for Google and is seen as a way to reduce click fraud and increase the relevance of traffic advertisers are paying for. Sign up to test the beta version.

Use Digg as a SEO tool to get found on Google

Digg is great at getting your website a deluge of traffic from one really popular story but there is a more to submitting your article to digg. Most people never think of using digg as a SEO tool.
Most diggers are let down when their article is not dugg and gets pushed back to the archives of digg. Everyone wants their article to be popular and to get on the front page but is it really beneficial to your site?
Gmail is down, Google’s way of saying you work too hard, take a break
Its a sad commentary when your entire life fits in a Gmail account at the total discretion of a Gmail engineer. So while I sit here and twiddle my thumbs waiting for the almighty gmail to awaken I’ll take this time to remind my readers to always back up their email from their respective websites, and backup pictures to CD or DVD because when the virtual world gets hiccups you’ll always have real time.

I found this article at Google Blogscoped and realized that most people with a blog or webpage who want to use your content on their webpage may have a hard time finding your “free to use” content.
Google allows you to search specifically for free-to-share content. Just select e.g. “free to use or share or modify†from the usage rights box in the advanced search options. Yahoo has a similar option.
GoogleEnlarge, blow up that Google image thumbnail
GoogleEnlarge is a greasemonkey script that blows up the Google Images thumbnail so you can take a closer look at the image you have selected. This helps you to see if the image is acceptable or even there before you click. Just hover over the picture to activate the Greesemonkey script. This a script that makes you wonder why Google didn’t think of this.
You do need Greasemonkey to make this work.

Stian Grytoyr created a Gmail feature voting page, so that Gmail fans can build consensus for new features and maybe get noticed by the big Goo. What features do you want to see in Gmail’s next update?
Viacom sends chief lawyer Dr. Evil to collect 1 Billlllion dollars from Google!

Viacom sends in Dr. Evil as chief lawyer and tries to seek $1 Billion dollars from Google and YouTube for their fans posting of content on YouTube. Listen we all know how this will end. They both will spend millions to defend each others positions and in the end Viacom will agree to allow their content on YouTube for X amount of dollars just how Apple and the Beetles settled. Personally if I was Google I would delist them from their search engine. I mean really people have been banned for less.
