Resurrect your old Wordpress archives with a Wordpress plug-in called the Archivist. This highly customizable Wordpress plug in brings back your old posts back for another run. This keeps your users looking at new or slightly warmed over content when you are busy making a living. It also allows your visitors easy access to once great posts that have been gathering dust making you no money. It posts a old archive post in the number 2 position on your page (customizable). A favicon (short for “favorites icon”), also known as a page icon, is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage. A web designer can create such an icon, and many graphical web browsers—such as recent versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, Safari, iCab, AOL Explorer, Epiphany, Konqueror, and Flock—can then make use of them. Browsers that support favicons may display them in the browser’s URL bar, next to the site’s name in lists of bookmarks, and next to the page’s title in a tabbed document interface.
New Google Blog pinging service is now available.Search engine giant Google is finally making it easier for Bloggers to alert their blog search service to index the latest posts on their blogs.
The company has now launched a notification service, which enables the Bloggers to ping to alert the spiders of the latest updates.
This service is similar to tools provided by alternative blog search engines like PingGoat. Google already monitors other pinging services but this new tool would make the indexing of latest blog posts faster.
